We Reject Hatred That Underpins Terrorism

MEDIA STATEMENT

The JCMA is appalled and horrified at the recent terrorist act in Halle, Germany, against worshippers in a Synagogue on the Jewish Day of Atonement.

“Targeting worshipers on a holy day in front of a house dedicated to the worship of God is a cowardly and vile act of hatred. We utterly reject it and the distorted thinking that lies behind it” said JCMA president Ramzi Elsayed.

JCMA is driven by a passionate belief in the precious and sacred nature of life. Our respective religious traditions give expression to the centrality of this belief.

Our condolences, prayers and hearts go out to the victims, their families and the Jewish communities affected by this tragedy.
