The Vision

We, people of diverse religions and spiritual expressions throughout Australia, have a vision to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religious bias or discrimination and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the local community and for all living beings.

We see education as the key to tolerance and acceptance of diversity and difference, and the way to combat racism and its associated harmful effects on the mental health of our communities.

The JCMA Objectives
• To enhance the understanding of Jewish, Christian and Muslim traditions within the community and how much they share, amongst religious leaders, lay people both religious and secular, parents, teachers and students

• To encourage and facilitate the development of greater harmony and cohesion within the wider community through an acceptance of the legitimacy of each faith, and their ability to co-exist respectfully.

• To enable those who are involved in the JCMA and its programs to recognize that the people of each faith share many common values, ethics and aspirations for the well being of the Australian community.

• To spread that understanding of shared values and respect for difference and diversity to the wider local community
