My name is Paul Gardner and I’m the chair of the JCMA Membership Committee.
Perhaps you are already a financial member of JCMA, in which case, thank you for your support. You don’t have to read the rest of this post, but if you’re a really enthusiastic supporter of JCMA, feel free to forward this appeal to friends, family and people you know in your faith community who might be interested in supporting interfaith work.
Membership subscriptions cover the financial year from 1 July to 30 June. If you were previously a member but haven’t renewed your membership subscription yet then you can still do so. Please read on.
If you’ve not previously been a member, and if you believe (as I do) that JCMA is important and worthy of support, then please consider joining for the first time. Likewise, please read on.
We’re a membership-driven community organisation. We’re not just a Board and a few committees and projects. We’re a democratic, grass-roots organisation. Membership provides the lifeblood that allows us to be relevant, in tune with people’s interests and concerns. Members are essential for the effective running of the organisation. New members through their personal links to others are crucial in helping JCMA to grow and become more influential in the wider community. And, of course, membership fees help support the considerable costs involved in running our organisation.
We’re holding our annual general meeting soon. I hope that you can attend, share your thoughts about our organisation, vote for resolutions and elections, (maybe even stand for election yourself!)
But, not surprisingly, only financial members can vote at the AGM.
Please consider becoming a member as soon as possible.
You can do it online here:
“How do I become a member?”
You can become a member of JCMA by following these three steps:
- Agree to the objectives and rules of JCMA
- Apply by purchasing the ‘Annual Member – New’ ticket from the online form or by sending to us a completed JCMA Membership Application Form
- Pay the required membership fees (either online, by direct deposit or cheque)
Individual Renewals and New applications are both $25 for the year (ends 30th June 2012).
You can choose to pay by direct deposit if you wish. Our details are:
Jewish Christian Muslim Conference – National Australia Bank
Please email details of your deposit to firstname.lastname@example.org (Very important! Otherwise the Treasurer can’t tell who made the payment.)
Please forward this email to as many as you can and actively encourage your friends and organisations to become members.
Thanks, and best wishes
(Dr) Paul Gardner AM
